Janis Buongermino
Founder and Principal
Janis started her career as an outside Sales Representative for a Liquor Distributor in NY. She was recruited by their Supplier, a large Liquor Importer, manufacturer and distributor in NYC. She held the positions of Sales, Brand and Account Manager and was the only female salesmen in both companies.
She relocated to Florida and created a start-up Temporary Staffing Agency in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. She grew the business to offices in Boca Raton and Miami Lakes, Florida through strong management and B2B Sales.
She sold this highly successful business and created a new start-up, Ash & Associates Executive Search in a 1,200 square foot office in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. She works with Fortune 500 companies nationally. Janis is also a successful career coach and has worked with candidates on resume creation through salary compensation and stock negations.
Janis was the past Membership Chair for the Lions club (E-Lions of South Florida) where she ran a successful campaign to have her local chapter president elected to the post of International Director, the first elected black Director in the history of the Lions Club. Janis is the current Vice President for the Association for Women in Communication South Florida, a non-profit founded in 1909. She creates empowerment workshops for women at local Hotels and monthly fundraising events honoring local charities such as Make-A-Wish, The Humane Society, Dress for Success, A child is Missing, Brain Bowl, ect... She utilizes her passion for social media to promote these events across multiple media platforms.
Janis has worked as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for many companies in South Florida.
Janis was the Community Relationship Manager for the TV show Military Makeover with Montel on the Lifetime Network. In addition to this role she also sourced the General Contractor and all of the donated construction tradesmen and construction materials for the show.
